Giving Back

Our Community Commitment
We’re here to help. And that doesn’t just fall into repairing foundations, crawl spaces and basements; it also means giving back to our community. Good corporate citizenship isn’t just a catchphrase at JES, it’s a lifestyle.Good corporate citizenship isn’t just a catchphrase at JES, it’s a lifestyle.
We helped with two Extreme Makeover; Home Edition projects, donating products and labor to ensure that the families’ new homes were built on a dry and solid foundation. The first project was for a family in New Orleans who lost their home in Hurricane Katrina, and the second was for a family in our own backyard, in Virginia Beach.
We’re also involved in a lot of local projects like sponsoring Volunteer Hampton Road’s Hot Latin Nights, funding a scholarship for VMI students, and sponsoring children’s t-ball, baseball, and volleyball teams so that they can buy uniforms and equipment.

We also partner with local Boy Scout troops to promote the proper disposal of old, tattered American flags. This includes organizing a yearly flag collection and educating the community about American flag history and etiquette. The collected flags are given to the Boy Scout troops for respectful retirement ceremony befitting our national symbol.
The cause that’s closest to our hearts is supporting our military. Since JES is headquartered in a military town, Jesse’s Alma Matter is VMI, and many of our employees are retired military or Navy spouses; we have a deep appreciation for the men and women in our armed services.
We take every opportunity to “thank” our servicemen by giving back, which includes: sponsoring a needy family over the holidays, sponsoring the military teams at the annual 54 mile Wilderness Challenge, and adopting deployed Navy ships by sending food, games, videos, music and other comforts.
It’s also important to give back to the professional community through a free Continuing Education program. Our team of experts and Professional Engineers speak to local groups of real estate agents, home inspectors, property managers, engineers, architects and home owner associations about foundation, crawl space and basement repair and how it relates to their community and profession.
