Groundworks Companies Taps George Frates to Lead JES Foundation Repair Brand

Virginia Beach, VA (October 15, 2018) – Groundworks Companies announced today the appointment of George Frates to lead JES Foundation Repair, the largest of five foundation services companies in the Groundworks portfolio. Frates, who has been with the company for 10 years, most recently served as SVP of Sales and General Manager of the Virginia Beach branch. 

Frates began his Groundworks career in 2008 as a Certified Field Inspector within the JES sales department. As a steward of delivering world-class customer service, Frates honed his operational and sales leadership abilities moving to a full-time Sales Manager position at JES’ Virginia Beach location in 2012 and then to General Manager in 2013. In 2016, Frates’ sales management track record earned him the position of Senior Vice President of Sales for Groundworks Companies.

“Frates possesses a deep understanding of all facets of our business and has an innate ability to align multiple teams,” said Matt Malone, Groundworks’ CEO. “This role allows George to take full advantage of his diverse skill sets across all of our JES branches.”

Frates will oversee the sales and operations of all five of JES’ locations including JES Virginia Beach serving the Hampton Roads and coastal North Carolina region; JES Chester serving the central Virginia region, JES Manassas serving the Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland region, and JES Appomattox and JES Salem serving the Western Regions of Virginia.
