JES Collects Food, Supplies for Organization to Provide for the Homeless

Virginia Beach, VA (September 20, 2018) – JES Foundation Repair, a Groundworks Company, joined non-profit “99 for the 1” in a drive to gather clothing and supplies for the Southern Virginia homeless population. As part of their Goodworks program, the Virginia Beach-based foundation repair company collected and donated more than 3000 items including boxes of gloves, jacket covers, backpacks, hygiene items, and warm clothes.

“We are super excited to be partnering with JES to collect basic necessities to do the most good for our homeless community,” said Rachel Fjeld, co-founder of 99 for the 1. “Thank you JES for loving on a community that is otherwise forgotten.”

“Virginia has over 7,000 homeless people struggling to survive day to day,” Jackie Hoffman stated. Jackie leads the Goodworks initiative for the company. “The team at JES felt that 99 for the 1 was a great organization to team up with to help.”

The Groundworks Companies Goodworks program was established to unify all 5 of the Groundworks Brands under one community service initiative. While each branch office partners with a different nonprofit organization throughout the year, the goal is to encourage employees to get involved in at least one community service project per quarter. The employees of JES in Hampton Roads chose to help 99 for the 1 for their third-quarter charitable giving partnership.
