I needed my crawlspace encapsulated, support jacks added, and some downspouts buried to get water away from my foundation. Devin C., Delonta K., and Jacob H. went above and beyond, exceeding my already-high expectations. They were upfront about exactly what was going to be done each day they were onsite, informed me where they were going when they left, and were really helpful in answering all of my questions along the way. This crew really did a great job and I can't recommend them enough. It was super hot out and they pushed through and completed the work ahead of schedule while still keeping high standards and quality of work.Ask for this crew by name. They were that good.

Time will tell for longevity, but we're happy. Engineer, Sean Wang, communicated everything quite clear and we understood what was going on. We needed more posts an the center beam of our house jacked up due to sagging. The three workers who came out, Mike Baines, Bryan Covell, and Brandon Pritt were all great. Very respectful of our property, really tried to keep everything neat and tidy. Answered all our questions along the way. Good job cleaning up. I love that they brought their own buckets (step up from other companies.) Again, all three installers of our new support posts were great and very polite. They did a great job from what we can tell.

They also took the time to re-tape an area of my encapsulation which had been taken up by a plumber. They conducted a thorough inspection of moisture levels in my crawlspace and advised on my concerns about potential clogged drain tiles in my garage and what to monitor. Damon T came up with a convincing sales pitch, and we were impressed by the thoroughness of the plan. We ended up declining one small portion of Damon's original plan – after consultation with Tash and his team during the installation process. The company took the full price off our bill. The crew of Tash, Justin, Maurice, and Drew were highly professional in their 2-day stint at our house waterproofing the basement. Very pleased with how they answered our questions. The team had a disagreement with another part of the original sales plan, but their plan ended with a much better solution for our basement. The original plan had the bottom of our carpeted stairs to be torn up, but crew leader Tash had a much less destructive action plan. We are very impressed by the way they tunneled the drains from room to room with little or no extra destruction. The team also worked very hard both days, taking very few breaks and maximizing their time here.Our only suggestion would be for the original salesperson to have either face to face or telephone discussion with the work team leader prior to the team coming out. What is projected on paper may not always be the easiest plan to carry out. Tash made many good points that led to a better final product from our perspective.All in all, we were pleased with this company's product, from Damon's sales pitch to Tash's team's installation. Great guys all, friendly, professional, and very polite! Thanks for a great experience!

JaJuan called and asked if it was ok to arrive to the appointment 15 minutes early. When he arrived he was very professional and knowledgeable. After explaining and showing me what was going wrong with my garbage disposal he waited patiently while I contacted my husband to explain what needed to be done. Upon getting approval for the work he waisted no time installing our new garbage disposal. He answered all of my questions and cleaned up after himself. I have always been very pleased with A-1 Sewer and Drain's customer service and quality of work.

My experience with Groundworks was great. My project involved releveling segments of a large patio and driveway area that had experienced settling and cracking at some of the joints and across some of the pads. Tommy came out and inspected the job, informed me of the process and the expected end result. The 5 yr warranty on the work sold me! After accepting the quote and scheduling the work the crew, Alex Campbell, Manny E and Damien A arrived onsite on time and we got started. Most notable for me was how the crew involved me and communicated with me throughout the entire job. They were professional, knowledgeable and polite. We started with a site inspection and discussed my expectations, then they filed me in on the process and then got to work. At every critical juncture of the job they engaged me to ensure my satisfaction with process and result. At the end of the day they exceeded all of my expectations and I was very satisfied with the result. I was so impressed with the work that while onsite we added to the scope of the job and they reinforced another slab in another area of the yard to ensure the location would hold up to the increased loading. I would highly recommend Groundworks for your concrete leveling job!

We've used JES in the Richmond metro area twice in the past five years and have been very pleased with their work on both projects. In November 2019, they installed two push piers under a corner of our mid-1960s house that was sinking and installed a CrawlSeal encapsulation system in the crawl space. In September 2024, they installed a steel I-beam and two engineered jacks in the crawl space under a fireplace hearth that didn't have adequate support. Both projects involved working very close to the residential gas line. In both projects, the work was done very well and completed on schedule. Each employee has been professional, knowledgeable, hard-working, and very pleasant to deal with. On the most recent project, Cameron Flynn, lead jack installer, and John Trak, certified field inspector, were terrific. We trust JES employees and will not hesitate to call on them if we need them in the future.

We had the recent misfortune of having our main line break after the recent snow storm. Pat came out right on time and gave us the estimate. We don't have a choice but to get it fixed. As there is water just bubbling up through our grass and driveway and sidewalk. It's probably the most expensive plumbing repair that there is but Pat made me feel at ease and even though I just felt like crying he was able to keep my spirits up. They've done work for us before (we have quest pipe unfortunately) and at that time they were also extremely professional, courteous and had the best price. I didn't even feel the need to call another company to get another estimate. I trust them and that's who we will always use in the future. Since the actual repair hasn't been done yet I will update the review if something goes awry.

He took time to answer my many questions, I like to understand how things work for future reference. I have an older home and Adam made a couple trips for parts he needed. He didn't leave until repairs were complete and shower worked as expected. My alloted time ran a little longer than expected but I appreciate Adam taking time to do the repairs correctly. I've scheduled appointments with A1 Sewer & Drain in the past and each time been pleased with both the technician sent and work performed. I would definitely call again if a need arise.

After considering a number of contractors for our foundation repair, we chose JES. The team included a number of qualified folks, and the onsite team of Jose Rodriquez, Victor Croz, and Nicolas Levano did a great job for the 2 day project. They were prompt, answered questions, and installed 16 steel brackets to reinforce our basement walls. Time will tell, and the job should result in stabilizing the foundation for a very long time. The company obviously has depth, and solid resources to call on when needed. Many thanks to the entire team including those I contracted with, spoke to on the phone, and quizzed on a number of topics for the job. John F.

JES did a fantastic job with the crawlspace. Removed old materials, installed a crawl drain and sump pump system, and then encapsulated the area with a dehumidifier. Bijon Simpson especially was a very hard working foreman. He stayed until the job was complete, working by himself for several hours late into the night to ensure all tasks were completed and to my satisfaction. Anything small I noticed that needed to be revised per the contract, he did it flawlessly. Definitely would recommend Bijon Simpson and JES on any crawlspace work.

JES was a great experience: Original contact Josh was on time, professional, friendly, knowledgeable. Explained the process and realistic expectations. Set repair date less than a week away. Installers called to notify of arrival time. CJ and Truman were on time, very polite and personable. Explained what they were going to do to be sure we were in agreement and how they were going to do it and discussed expected result. They were very proficient at the process. Repair was complicated covered entryway but outcome was excellent. CJ and Truman very competent and pleasant. Work site was clean and neat on departure. These people know what they are doing and are very good at it. Highly recommended.

Interesting. I left a mixed Google review of JES a few months ago. They replied that they checked their records, I was not in their file, and to call them to follow up. The next day, I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from JES, and we set a date and time for him to come to my home to check the problems I had with the work. This person never showed up. Was he even with JES or was someone trying to scam me in some way? I searched his phone number online and nothing came up.

I found myself in the unfortunate situation to have a wall in my basement stabilized as it was gradually falling in. I had many options but chose JES Foundation Repair. What a fantastic choice! I received a phone call and a text message from the job foreman Joel Grade about 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive to start the work. Joel and his crew, to include Bryen Hailey and Karon Sherman arrived and were extremely professional from the jump. They explained the scope of the work, and made a conscious choice to minimize any impact to the rest of the house as they completed the job. The job took two days to complete and the guys walked me thru what was completed on each day, and were sure to make sure I had no concerns. Within three days of calling, JES had Chad onsite to do a thorough inspection. Based on our introductory conversation, I could tell Chad was very knowledgeable and experienced. He spent nearly two hours inspecting my home to identify the cause of the issue I was experiencing. Upon completion, Chad informed me that he and JES could not help. They couldn't help because the problem was not with my basement or foundation walls. Rather he pointed out two downspouts and a grading issue under the down spouts that were caus of my issues. It is not very often I have run across a true professional like Chad who did not put profit over honesty. Because he was honest, I have likely kept thousands of dollars in my pockets and JES Foundation Repair has earned my respect, my honest review, and all future references I make for them to friends and family in the area with foundation issues. Foreman David Gaskins came to our house after our basement was waterproofed. Some water came in from a heavy rain and and a repair we were promised was not done. David inspected the waterproofing work and found what needed to be done to be sure water would not come in again. This has been a very stressful time for us but David has been wonderful and gone above and beyond to keep in constant touch with us and coming up with a plan on how to make the corrections. We are just so thankful that he is the one that came to our house to look at what the problem was. Your company is lucky to have him.
