Andre Williams was on time very knowledgeable at his job. Excellent customer service advised me of other things that were needed to improve the air quality in my home. The foundation of my home front porch and explained the importance of the stability of my home and the service call for my Sup pump system was thoroughly inspected and checked and everything is good. Andre is excellent at his job and I greatly appreciated his willingness to help and improve the foundation of my home. Zaven arrived, right on time and did a great job with the annual service of our sump pump system that we've had for many years now. He explained everything he was going to do, in detail and had no problem with us remaining right there while he did the entire inspection of the system, which he gave a thumbs up to, as everything was running as it should. He was very thorough and answered all questions we had. We are very pleased. When we get a call next year to schedule our annual service, we will definitely request that Zaven be the tech they send.

During my annual inspection March 27, 2026, it was determined that my property required several jacks to address a settling issue. This discovery led to the need for a professional installation to remedy the problem. On April 15, 2026, I had the pleasure of meeting my installation crew: Shakeen B, Darnell L, and Benard M. They contacted me beforehand to let me know when they would arrive. Upon their arrival, the crew explained in detail what the installation process would entail. Their clear communication ensured I understood each step before the work began. The crew promptly began the job, completing all tasks efficiently. Once the work was finished, they thoroughly cleaned up the area. Photos were taken of the completed work, and I was advised that these would be sent to me for my records. Additionally, the crew informed me about the timeline for their return visit to inspect the newly installed jacks. All JES personnel have consistently demonstrated professionalism and courtesy. They keep clients fully informed throughout the process, ensuring transparency about all work being done. Based on my experience, I highly recommend JES to anyone in need of foundation repairs. My experience was great. JB worked with us up front to get all of the preliminary things in place and help us understand what needed to be done, how it was going to be done, and was always accessible when I had questions. When the job got started there were two unexpected situations. They pivoted quickly, included me in the decision that needed to be made, and worked it from there. Jose led the work and was amazing. He was extremely helpful, took time to walk me through what was going to be done, answer my questions, and keep me informed along the way. Add to that his great attitude and it was a good experience all around.

The personnel at JES Foundation Repair Ashland were consummate professionals from the beginning of the process to the end. Our 90-plus-year-old house was sinking by 2" in its middle, so it was imperative that we right the foundation. Tice, utilizing high-tech equipment, assiduously inspected our house for a full four hours, going through every possible detail in a comprehensive and fully comprehensible way–including his offering of affordable financing. In addition, he kept in contact with us every step of the way, patiently answering our multitudinous queries and most importantly aiding us in navigating the permitting process through Albemarle county. Roberto and Oscar, who did the install of a dozen beams and a sump pump, were highly knowledgeable, had numerous years of experience, and worked tirelessly in their doing of a superior job on site; they also did a nice job of cleaning up on the last day. Materials were of the highest quality–there was no cutting corners with JES. All went seamlessly from the beginning of the process to its culmination. I have no reservations whatsoever about JES Foundation and the work they did, and would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone–the peace of mind they brought us, knowing that our house's foundation is once again stable, is priceless.

We have used JES Foundation Repair in Ashland for a few projects over the years, and they encapsulated our crawl space and installed a dehumidifier.What really sets JES apart is their long-term commitment to their customers. No major home project is perfect, and whenever minor follow-up problems have arisen from past work, they have stepped up without hesitation. They don't just disappear after the initial job is done; their team is highly responsive. For example, when our dehumidifier needed attention, Brian Donald came back out, assessed the situation, and fixed the issue promptly and professionally. It is rare to find a contractor that truly stands behind their work and maintains that level of accountability. Knowing they will always return to make things right gives us total peace of mind. JES performed a full encapsulation for me last year, and I was extremely happy with the entire process. Chris Jones came today for the first yearly inspection and he was so thorough. From the start, he explained the entire process to me, asked if I had any questions, took his time with the inspection, and then went over what he observed, with photos at the end. I appreciated everything he had to say, and he made me feel comfortable, comfortable that there had been no changes in the crawlspace, and everything was working as intended.

I just received a visit from Inspector Andre Williams. I was happy to receive a text message to confirm the arrival time. I also received an arrival text. This heads up allowed me the opportunity to move my feisty dog to another room. Andre's visit was due to a request I put in for a warning signal that has been repeating for the last week. Andre explained the reason for the signal, and immediately resolved the problem. That definitely put me at ease. Thank you so much Andre. We contacted JES to come out to give us an estimate for spray insulation in the crawl space to help with the cold floors in our home. Blake Snidow came out to meet with us. He went in the crawl space and did an inspection. He found we had several issues under there that he suggested we take care of first. Blake came back after reviewing and gave us several options to correct our issues. He did a great job explaining everything. Unfortunately at this time being on a fixed income we are not going to fix the issues. When we can do it we will definitely call JES.

JES reinforced and straightened a long, sagging load-bearing beam in my basement. Their crew was excellent: Freddy ******** (team lead), Walter ******** and Daniel ******* English was their second language but that was not a problem at all. They were skillful, fast and very polite. They were also detail oriented and extremely patient when I asked questions and suggested small changes during the process. They also isolated the work area with plastic sheets, protected my floors with anti-slip coverings and cleaned afterwards. They used high-quality, extra strong materials. Now my home's floor is flatter and feels much more rigid, which is great. My only minor concerns are that before the crew came, some of my calls to their office remained unanswered, and also they didn't bring the right beam when they came the first time, but they corrected it quicly. My family and I are very happy with the results.

JES did wonderful work for our home. The team we had for the outside work was Agustin Morales, Eduardo Morales, and Jorge Duron. They were very professional in every aspect of the job. I was impressed how they took the time to lay plastic down in our flower beds to keep from disturbing the mulch. This seems small but means so much, especially since we just put it down recently. They let us know when they were arriving via text which was great. Agustin explained everything that was being done and did a walk around with us after the work was complete. He even took the excess dirt and filled some low lying areas in our back yard. We truly appreciate the professionalism and care you took of our home.

My experience with Groundworks was great. My project involved releveling segments of a large patio and driveway area that had experienced settling and cracking at some of the joints and across some of the pads. Tommy came out and inspected the job, informed me of the process and the expected end result. The 5 yr warranty on the work sold me! After accepting the quote and scheduling the work the crew, Alex Campbell, Manny E and Damien A arrived onsite on time and we got started. Most notable for me was how the crew involved me and communicated with me throughout the entire job. They were professional, knowledgeable and polite. We started with a site inspection and discussed my expectations, then they filed me in on the process and then got to work. At every critical juncture of the job they engaged me to ensure my satisfaction with process and result. At the end of the day they exceeded all of my expectations and I was very satisfied with the result. I was so impressed with the work that while onsite we added to the scope of the job and they reinforced another slab in another area of the yard to ensure the location would hold up to the increased loading. I would highly recommend Groundworks for your concrete leveling job!

We have been struggling with ground water in our basement for years but assumed it would require excavation around the outside of our home which we really did not want to do as we have some very old shrubs. After a visit from Damon Trent, we were pleased to find out that the problem could be solved from inside our home. The crew of Thomas Reamer, Sam Leap, Ramon Goard and Jason Wall arrived on time, were very professional and polite. Of course it rained throughout the day and were wet, muddy and hot. They worked tirelessly throughout the day and did not leave until 9:00 p.m. We are very impressed with the level of competence and dedication by the entire team and recommend them highly. To start, Our Sales representative Blaine Harvey was very professional. Did a complete inspection of the property. Made a few recommendations but really focused and addressed our concern/problem areas. This is greatly appreciated.Roberto and Jose Martinez, the installation crew were very polite and professional as well. Addressed all concerns and answered every question showing their expertise in the field. They were very clean throughout the installation. Under the house was left better than before. We had plastic underneath but needed to be removed in order for them to work. Did not expect them to re-line the ground upon completion but they used heavy duty plastic as a replacement. This is greatly appreciated. It is always the little things that make the difference in projects to homeowners. I would like to also mention Jo in the Richmond area office. Was very helpful in getting the information on the account up to date and taking the payment over the phone. Very well spoken and appreciate the small chit chat. She was a tremendous asset. We will need future work (Cleanspace) and would like to work with JES again.Thank youAndrea

I am writing to call out the excellent job done on our basement in Staunton by the crew of David Coffer, Bryan Conklin and Taquan McCoy. It was a daunting project because of a flooded basement and everything completely iced over. They had to chop a 40 foot path through 6 inch ice to even reach the basement and then they had to drain 3 inches of water before they could start. There was not one word of complaint about any of this and it was truly pleasant just to be around them while they were working. They did a thoroughly professional job and seemed to enjoy doing it. Thanks, guys.

JES repaired 7 slabs of concrete around my swimming pool. The entire operation was professional and timely from estimating and project management to scheduling and work performance. I received a written estimate for the work with a comprehensive scope followed by a contractual agreement including payment terms. Once I accepted the job, the company scheduled the work and maintained communication with me regarding the work. The day of the repair their crew showed up to the site led by Seth. They were courteous and knowledgeable about this work. They got busy immediately with great results. The slabs were jacked into their proper positions and then structural foam was injected through the slabs to support them in their correct locations. Seth and his crew completed the job and cleaned up the work area as if they were never there. The slabs look perfect and we couldn't be happier. Thank you JES!!

I posted a complaint about 4 months ago regarding an issue I was having with the system installed by JES a few years ago. I want to provide an update. The JES team of Rick, Matt, Dalton, Davonte, and especially JR, we're excellent in resolving the issue. They effectively evaluated the situation, took ownership of the problem, and quickly established a plan to remedy the situation. They were efficient in executing their plan and I am beyond satified with the end results. Everyone exemplified professionalism, were courteous, and respectful. JR's follow up was on point and I am so glad that he was spearheading the effort. Thank you JES. You definitely exceeded my expectations.
