Rick Smith provided a very thorough inspection of a foundation/moisture issue which has been plaguing one of the rooms in our home. Rick spent a total of four hours meticulously examining all aspects of what could possibly be causing the problem. He carefully explained his findings in a way that was comprehensible for individuals who worked outside of the construction industry. Ultimately, he determined that the issue was unrelated specifically to our foundation and provided tips on how to deal with our problem area, despite the fact that this would mean that JES would not be receiving our business. We really appreciated his time, attention, and honesty in finding a solution to our problem, rather than just pushing a product. Rick demonstrated patience and obvious expertise. For future issues that appear to have a foundation nexus, we will return to JES because of our amazing experience with Rick.

They had a great presentation to show me why the basement had water coming in it and why the wall was caving in. They also showed me how this could be fixed and that this would be a smooth process. I had my slab lifted with push piers then filled with poly and this company came in a tad bit more expensive than some other companies however the quality and warranty made them worth the extra cost, which in my opinion is marginal, and their team was professional and explained everything so I knew what was going on during the process. I definitely recommend JES for your foundation repair needs. Huge thanks to the crew that did the repair for push piers it was Agustin G., Agustin L. and Eduardo L. Poly was Andrew F. and Steven S. Super professional they got in did their work and cleaned up great looks like no one was ever there.

During the process major errors were made in our foundation for the addition that led to flooding and our new addition crawl space not even being able to pass inspection.Brian at JES came in and helped us understand everything that had gone wrong with the original foundation work by our contractor and then helped us create a plan with him and JES to fix everything and get it right.Brian came by the house regularly, checked on our needs, helped us with financing, and helped us prep for the work.Then Paul and team came in and in 2 days totally transformed but was called “the mud room” (our addition crawl space) to a place that could pass foundation inspections and was clean and usable storage space.I cannot say in words how grateful I am for JES and team. Excellent customer service & explanation during inspection. I have a concrete slab with a large crack, and other signs of it having sunk in places. It's been overwhelming to wrap my head around how such a thing gets fixed (this is my first home,) and this appears to be an awful issue to have. I decided to start with Groundworks for an inspection. Booking was very easy. Brendan was my inspector, and he immediately made me feel comfortable & confident about the project. He called the day before to talk about my issue, & texted before arriving at my home. He was incredibly thorough in his inspection. He talked me through everything he was seeing & listened to my concerns. He had to explain A LOT to me about concrete & how it is effected by weather, water, soil changes, etc. He was patient & kind. He inspected the house inside and out, and we talked about the slab project & also my crawl space, which has issues that are likely effecting the slab. Brendan sat down & showed me several videos explaining what was going on with the slab & crawl space, and how Groundworks would go about fixing both. He even called one of his colleagues, a project foreman, to answer something he wasn't certain about. We spoke to the foreman together on speaker phone, so I could ask follow up questions & fully understand the best option for fixing my slab. Together, Brendan & Chris recommended we stabilize my slab as compared to lifting it, bc I have pipes inside the slab & I'm doing polished concrete for the final flooring. (we can make the floor level in that process). Stabilization will involve demo work to pull up the existing parquet flooring & drilling small holes in the concrete at various spots to inject the polymer which will replace eroded soil under the slab, fill any gaps where moisture & water have penetrated & thus, secure the slab. Brendan explained all the warranty & continued services they will provide to make sure the slab continues to be in good shape. The price was well below the number I had swimming around in my head. I thought it would be $30k or more, but it's approx $10k. I couldn't believe it. The work also can be done over 2 days, which blew my mind. The work will take place in a couple weeks. I will do a follow up review about that, and also the crawl space project. I feel comfortable with Brendan advising me on my house projects & confident in what will happen. I finally have piece of mind that my house will be fixed properly & not become the money pit nightmare I feared.

Within three days of calling, JES had Chad onsite to do a thorough inspection. Based on our introductory conversation, I could tell Chad was very knowledgeable and experienced. He spent nearly two hours inspecting my home to identify the cause of the issue I was experiencing. Upon completion, Chad informed me that he and JES could not help. They couldn't help because the problem was not with my basement or foundation walls. Rather he pointed out two downspouts and a grading issue under the down spouts that were caus of my issues. It is not very often I have run across a true professional like Chad who did not put profit over honesty. Because he was honest, I have likely kept thousands of dollars in my pockets and JES Foundation Repair has earned my respect, my honest review, and all future references I make for them to friends and family in the area with foundation issues. I've now had JES complete two projects in my exposed crawlspace. Both times, they have added adjustable jacks on top of footers and either replaced a main beam or added a supplemental metal I Beam. I've been extremely impressed with their quality of work, timeliness, and efficiency. They show up ready to work and are sure to ask questions if needed. I was told on multiple occasions I'd be receiving an update from the office and each time I had to call them. The supervisor, Moises Paz came to the house several times prior to the repair to ensure the engineer had a clear understanding of the problem. He stayed in touch every step of the process. The crew Foreman Jaime Castillo and his team Antonio Canales and Jason Morales were very professional. They put down sheeting to protect the lawns and were careful around the shrubs. Mr. Castillo explained everything he was doing and why. They cleaned up, added top soil and seeded. Very satisfied. We recommend JES and Mr. Paz for any foundation work in Maryland.

I had an issue with what I thought was an awful leak behind my vanity. I called on Friday LATE afternoon, and the sweet receptionist Jorden was very empathetic and was able to get me seen within a day. Lee was AMAZING. He knew everything and was able to recreate the noises I heard and reassure this busy mom here that does nothing but worry that we didn't have an issue. He went into details over and over for me, and was so patient and so nice. I will never hire another company other than these guys. They gave me not only my peace of mind back, but they're the real deal, and very down to Earth. Incredible service!!!!

Within three days of calling, JES had Chad onsite to do a thorough inspection. Based on our introductory conversation, I could tell Chad was very knowledgeable and experienced. He spent nearly two hours inspecting my home to identify the cause of the issue I was experiencing. Upon completion, Chad informed me that he and JES could not help. They couldn't help because the problem was not with my basement or foundation walls. Rather he pointed out two downspouts and a grading issue under the down spouts that were caus of my issues. It is not very often I have run across a true professional like Chad who did not put profit over honesty. Because he was honest, I have likely kept thousands of dollars in my pockets and JES Foundation Repair has earned my respect, my honest review, and all future references I make for them to friends and family in the area with foundation issues.
