The work team was excellent and explained what they did each day and showed pictures. She then returned and met with my wife and I and was very gracious in explaining the details of what JES was proposing to do to repair our chimney that was pulling away from the side of the house. Jeanne was very professional in every aspect of her explaining, answering questions, and providing relief to my stressed out wife as we had been given an estimate by a brick Mason that was much more expensive than what Jeanne had proposed to us. Our problem was that we had over 1.5 inch of sag from the center of the house. It was affecting door and window operation. Also had a musty smell. Finally had enough and called JES. Ryan came out the next day and did an estimate. There is only 18 inches of space under the house. Ryan low crawled every inch of it and showed me pictures and explained what would have to be done. The solution was going to be running beams along the east and west side of the house. Digging 12 holes, installing 12 jacks and raising the sides of the house to support the floor. Then encapsulate the crawl space. Day one. Emilio and Edward show up. Clear out all the old insulation and junk. Dig 12 holes. Then get the ground ready for the jacks. Day two… They return and set up the jacks and lift the sides of the house. I'm making this sound too easy. Remember, they are on their bellies with 18 inches of space digging holes by hand and doing all this work. Day three… David, Zeke, John, and Elvis show up to do the encapsulation. In 18 inches of space, they crawled around and got the work done. They ran out of day. Said they needed to come back next mooring. Day four… they came back for about three hours to finish up. This was a very tough project. Very cramped space for three days. Both crews got it done in the time promised. They greatly exceeded expectations.

Within three days of calling, JES had Chad onsite to do a thorough inspection. Based on our introductory conversation, I could tell Chad was very knowledgeable and experienced. He spent nearly two hours inspecting my home to identify the cause of the issue I was experiencing. Upon completion, Chad informed me that he and JES could not help. They couldn't help because the problem was not with my basement or foundation walls. Rather he pointed out two downspouts and a grading issue under the down spouts that were caus of my issues. It is not very often I have run across a true professional like Chad who did not put profit over honesty. Because he was honest, I have likely kept thousands of dollars in my pockets and JES Foundation Repair has earned my respect, my honest review, and all future references I make for them to friends and family in the area with foundation issues. He explained everything he was going to do, in detail and had no problem with us remaining right there while he did the entire inspection of the system, which he gave a thumbs up to, as everything was running as it should. JES did a great job fixing our front porch. It had begun to settle and sloped towards the house, which allowed water to leak into our basement during heavy rains. JES lifted the front porch and adjoining sidewalk and filled in some significant voids with the poly foam. They finished it off with some nice sanded caulk that looks much better than what was there before. Time will tell if the problem has been fixed. Will update the review after the next storm to see if the basement stays dry. All the employees from JES were friendly and professional, communicated well what to expect, and cleaned up after themselves. Working with this company has been a great experience. A note to potential customers: there is a $1600 job minimum for them to come out. Our original problem probably would have been less than that, but they inspected the sidewalk and foundation to see what spots needed improvement that they could add to the job to get us up to the minimum amount. I called another company that does similar work and they had a similar job minimum amount. We feel this was money well spent to solve our leaking basement problem, and we would have had to spend a similar amount with another company anyway.

I experienced water coming through my basement walls after two bad rainstorms last September; JES sales representative Adam Crall came later that month to generate a thorough estimate for waterproofing. JES was able to schedule the work for the three days before Thanksgiving. Foreman John Rector and crew members Darrin and Paibai were OUTSTANDING! They were very accommodating and understanding, patient with me who was very apprehensive about jackhammers in the basement (and about the dust potential!). They cleaned up thoroughly! Worth the expense! I recommend them without hesitation!

Made a few recommendations but really focused and addressed our concern/problem areas. This is greatly appreciated.Roberto and Jose Martinez, the installation crew were very polite and professional as well. Addressed all concerns and answered every question showing their expertise in the field. They were very clean throughout the installation. Under the house was left better than before. We had plastic underneath but needed to be removed in order for them to work. Did not expect them to re-line the ground upon completion but they used heavy duty plastic as a replacement. This is greatly appreciated. It is always the little things that make the difference in projects to homeowners. I would like to also mention Jo in the Richmond area office. My experience with JES for the most part was great! Mr. John Trak was my initial inspector who confirmed my fears, but showed me the best way to fix the problem. There were a few scheduling conflicts but once my crew showed up they completed my project in two days. Thank you Dustin my site lead, once he took control he showed up, and performed. Jordan, and Lewis were the other crew members they worked efficiently and smart. JES Foundation and Repair gave me peace of mind, a secured foundation, and added value to my home.
