Rick Smith provided a very thorough inspection of a foundation/moisture issue which has been plaguing one of the rooms in our home. Rick spent a total of four hours meticulously examining all aspects of what could possibly be causing the problem. He carefully explained his findings in a way that was comprehensible for individuals who worked outside of the construction industry. Ultimately, he determined that the issue was unrelated specifically to our foundation and provided tips on how to deal with our problem area, despite the fact that this would mean that JES would not be receiving our business. We really appreciated his time, attention, and honesty in finding a solution to our problem, rather than just pushing a product. Rick demonstrated patience and obvious expertise. For future issues that appear to have a foundation nexus, we will return to JES because of our amazing experience with Rick.

We had the recent misfortune of having our main line break after the recent snow storm. Pat came out right on time and gave us the estimate. We don't have a choice but to get it fixed. As there is water just bubbling up through our grass and driveway and sidewalk. It's probably the most expensive plumbing repair that there is but Pat made me feel at ease and even though I just felt like crying he was able to keep my spirits up. They've done work for us before (we have quest pipe unfortunately) and at that time they were also extremely professional, courteous and had the best price. I didn't even feel the need to call another company to get another estimate. I trust them and that's who we will always use in the future. Since the actual repair hasn't been done yet I will update the review if something goes awry.

We had a wonderful experience with JES. We started noticing some cracks in our walls/floors and called for a consultation. Brian was extremely thorough and explained everything that would be necessary to get things fixed. He detailed all the options for payment/financing (since foundation work is not cheap!) and helped ease our fears a little bit about completely breaking our budget. JES took care of getting all permits for us. The true reason for 5 stars, however, is Santos and his crew. They were INCREDIBLE. They went above and beyond to make sure the work they did was done well. The whole team was incredibly friendly and very communicative throughout the process. There were a couple a snags at the beginning that could have been problematic, but Santos and his crew ensured that everything ran smoothly. The one thing that really stood out to us – Santos changed the original plan to make it more appealing, even though it was a little harder and more work for him. He said "if it were my house, I would want it to look nice, not the easiest solution." Highly, highly recommend if you need any foundation repair!

We had a tremendous experience with JES Foundation Repair. The initial inspection and estimate was thoroughly explained and the appointment was made for the work. We needed to move our auxiliary generator so JES could do the work and JES worked seamlessly with us and our generator company. The scheduling went well. The crews called when they were on their way. They showed up on time and explained everything they were going to accomplish on each day. Before and after pictures were taken and progress was readily shared. Tiger and his crew were professional, polite, and a delight to work with. I wish I had the names of each individual to thank them personally, but they quietly went about their work with industry and effort.The crew took great care to leave as little mark as possible on the landscape. Boards were put down to keep ruts from forming while they ferried a tremendous number of bags of gravel and concrete from their truck to the crawlspace! The holes dug on the outside of the house were prepared with the soil on plastic tarps. When the soil was replaced after repair, the yard looked as if it had never been disturbed. The best part of all of this is that we can really tell the difference in the foundation. Doors open and close with little effort that had previously been very difficult to work. A crack in the drywall can now be patched and painted. The floors are secure. We are very happy with the service and work. Great Job!

My original appointment was to be on a Friday at 2pm. JES texted me the Monday prior asking if I would like to change the appointment to Tuesday at 2, which was great. The inspector, Jay called early Tuesday to see if we could meet at 1130. Jay showed up on time and we immediately dug into the issue…a likely sunken corner foundation of my carport. Jay covered all the possible solutions, went thru the warranty, timing, cost, etc. At no point did I feel pressured to make a decision and Jay conducted himself in a pleasant and professional manor.

Next day, they showed up early and replaced the water heater in about 2 hours. They did a great job. We noticed a small leak after the guys left but we called and they came back and fixed it. I have been a customer with JES for about a year now. We purchased our home and quickly realized within the first few months there were some problems missed in inspection. JES came out promptly, gave us understandable answers. At the one year mark of service, we had Gage come out to check out how everything was looking under the house. He was communicative, on time, and very professional while also being friendly and explaining everything. Unfortunately some new issues have arisen but he made the "bad news" feel less upsetting and was more than willing to work around what we could try to accomplish budget wise. Gage followed up fast too in scheduling the dates for service. I truthfully cannot imagine the level of professionalism and speed from any other service than what JES provides.

We are impressed the way they work together as team to removed all the debris out of the crawl space and get it prepare for installing the sub pump, black tubing and dehumidifier. The work they did as follow: Installed 2 inches insulation all around the foundation, dig trench around the perimeter for drainage and lay the black tubing and gravel on top , dig 2 holes 2ft deep for the sub pump, lay down white plastic bearers on top of the dirt , installed dehumidifier unit ,vent and crawl space new . Highly recommended Roberto, Eduardo, Suave, Denison to do your crawl space and there are “EXCELLENT TEAM “. Daniel, the electrical. I had JES Foundation Repair out for an estimate on a drainage issue. While showing the problem, we discovered a separate plumbing issue, water leaking out of the wall. Jason didn’t hesitate to jump in, diagnose it, and fix it even though it wasn’t part of the original job. I didn’t expect that, and I appreciated it. He was professional, easy to work with, and the solution he recommended for the concrete seemed well thought out and reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

I contacted them online and they sent Blaine Harvey to speak with us and give an estimate. We went with JES because we wanted a company who does this work for a living. Everything went smoothly. The communication level was awesome. Ibrahim and Jovone performed the work in below freezing weather. That's dedication. Their professionalism was top notch throughout. I am only giving Ground Works a 4 star review because of the Gentleman who did the job. Kidd Smith and the crew he was with did AMAZING work and were extremely helpful and respectful in every way!!! I can’t say enough about how amazing their work was. When it comes to the actual company itself they are very arrogant, never did I receive a call back when I needed to speak with them. I had contacted them 2x and NOT ONCE did they return my calls or even acknowledge that I had called. The supervisor “Dan,” was very arrogant on the phone when he accused me of trying to not pay!! Then a Kate called me not long after asking about payment and was not very nice and obviously can’t hear. I explained that when the job was finished I would then write out the check for the remaining balance and that paying over the phone through debit or credit card was not an option. This was explained from the beginning when I sat down and signed all the paperwork and contract. They are not very professional and they definitely don’t know how to communicate between themselves or with clients!!! Kidd Smith and crew Thank you for the AMAZING job done on my sidewalk!!!!

I've been calling on A1 for many years for my plumbing needs and they have never failed to deliver quality workmanship. In this case, they were dealing with the gas water heater I had purchased and they had to modify the height of the stand due to height differences from old to new, which was done in short-order. Haul-away and cleanup was quick.

You can’t be cheap when it comes to foundation repairs. JES is expensive, but you have access to knowledgeable engineers and consultants (Andrew Sean Wheeler), and their crews are quick and competent (foreman Jaime Castillo and Joel and Erick). If you live near the Potomac and have issues with marine clay, go straight to JES.
