This company is 110% top notch. I highly recommend them. They got here in a short amount of time and fixed a clog in my main line. They were over $700.00 cheaper than one other “local” company I called to come out to one of my rental properties. John Lewis was not only a few hours earlier than anticipated (we were called ahead of time asking first if I was ok with him coming early, he didn’t just show up). He was also very courteous and explained everything thoroughly. They offer a membership program that he also explained to me that I will be joining. Excellent customer service & explanation during inspection. I have a concrete slab with a large crack, and other signs of it having sunk in places. It's been overwhelming to wrap my head around how such a thing gets fixed (this is my first home,) and this appears to be an awful issue to have. I decided to start with Groundworks for an inspection. Booking was very easy. Brendan was my inspector, and he immediately made me feel comfortable & confident about the project. He called the day before to talk about my issue, & texted before arriving at my home. He was incredibly thorough in his inspection. He talked me through everything he was seeing & listened to my concerns. He had to explain A LOT to me about concrete & how it is effected by weather, water, soil changes, etc. He was patient & kind. He inspected the house inside and out, and we talked about the slab project & also my crawl space, which has issues that are likely effecting the slab. Brendan sat down & showed me several videos explaining what was going on with the slab & crawl space, and how Groundworks would go about fixing both. He even called one of his colleagues, a project foreman, to answer something he wasn't certain about. We spoke to the foreman together on speaker phone, so I could ask follow up questions & fully understand the best option for fixing my slab. Together, Brendan & Chris recommended we stabilize my slab as compared to lifting it, bc I have pipes inside the slab & I'm doing polished concrete for the final flooring. (we can make the floor level in that process). Stabilization will involve demo work to pull up the existing parquet flooring & drilling small holes in the concrete at various spots to inject the polymer which will replace eroded soil under the slab, fill any gaps where moisture & water have penetrated & thus, secure the slab. Brendan explained all the warranty & continued services they will provide to make sure the slab continues to be in good shape. The price was well below the number I had swimming around in my head. I thought it would be $30k or more, but it's approx $10k. I couldn't believe it. The work also can be done over 2 days, which blew my mind. The work will take place in a couple weeks. I will do a follow up review about that, and also the crawl space project. I feel comfortable with Brendan advising me on my house projects & confident in what will happen. I finally have piece of mind that my house will be fixed properly & not become the money pit nightmare I feared.

Phillip sets the standard for exemplary customer service, professionalism, and knowledge. His service work on equipment in my crawl space was five star! His understanding of the challenges a cracked beam presents allowed him to explain the repair process clear and concisely. I went with JES on encapsulating my crawl space and replacing almost half of the massive joists several years ago; I'm absolutely sticking with them on shoring up the beam. Yes, they are expensive; their quality work is worth every penny!

I’m really happy with the work and conduct of the JES team. I hired them to install 6 pilings to stabilize a garage I had built 4 years ago. They arrived on time, and sent me a text on both mornings when they arrived. The crew was led by Santos Cruz, who was pleasant to speak with and was knowledgeable about the work being done. He answered all of my questions before and during the process. His team consisted of David Allerdings, Lucas Batista, and Joseph Wooten. All of the guys were very tolerant of my two Dogs who occasionally were sniffing and barking around the job site. Even though several of the holes were 5+ feet deep, they did a great job keeping them close to the building in an attempt to not dig up more than needed. The finished job looked very good, and except for the loss of grass, looked almost untouched. Additionally they buried a downspout pipe that had been previously laid on top of the ground which was a nice touch to finish off the job.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but A1 Drain and Sewer definitely deserves one. I was dealing with a really stubborn clog that I couldn’t fix on my own, and it was starting to stress me out. From the first phone call, they were friendly and reassuring. The technician showed up right on time, explained what was going on perfectly, and got straight to work. You could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. Within a short time, everything was flowing perfectly again. What stood out to me most was how respectful and clean they were — no mess left behind and no pressure to add on extra services. Just honest, solid work. If I ever have another drain issue, I won’t even think twice about who to call. Highly recommend!

We had a drain system installed by JES last week. The installation went well. Our foreman and crew were great and if they ran into any issues they let us know and gave us a solution. We haven't had a chance to test the system yet, but I will update once we have. Our sales person (Joe Palotas) went above and beyond! He walked us through everything on our initial meeting and made us feel comfortable with the direction we went. I would highly recommend requesting him.

We had a wonderful experience with JES. We started noticing some cracks in our walls/floors and called for a consultation. Brian was extremely thorough and explained everything that would be necessary to get things fixed. He detailed all the options for payment/financing (since foundation work is not cheap!) and helped ease our fears a little bit about completely breaking our budget. JES took care of getting all permits for us. The true reason for 5 stars, however, is Santos and his crew. They were INCREDIBLE. They went above and beyond to make sure the work they did was done well. The whole team was incredibly friendly and very communicative throughout the process. There were a couple a snags at the beginning that could have been problematic, but Santos and his crew ensured that everything ran smoothly. The one thing that really stood out to us – Santos changed the original plan to make it more appealing, even though it was a little harder and more work for him. He said "if it were my house, I would want it to look nice, not the easiest solution." Highly, highly recommend if you need any foundation repair!

I called A1 because I had a leak and my kitchen faucet was not working. I told them it was an emergency since I was having to empty a bowl of water to prevent a flood. They scheduled me for an appointment. They actually showed up five hours earlier than scheduled for. Pat was fabulous he shutdown the water and replaced my faucet. He made sure we had pressure with both cold and hot. He was very professional and completed the mission in a timely matter. Thanks A1 and Pat! Andre Williams from JES did a long-overdue and much needed inspection of my crawlspace upgrade done by JES. My crawlspace entrance is not very big and can be challenging. I do not feel comfortable attempting to crawl down there! He made sure that the sump pumps and air-handler were all plugged-in and operating—replacing the back-up battery, which was dead. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and efficient—I am so grateful to know that everything is working smoothly.

Jay came out to my house to conduct a free estimate to see if some of the cracks in my foundation were symptomatic of a larger problem, or were anything to worry about. He was very professional, took some measurements – including with a laser level – and looked around for any additional signs of a foundation issue. He took the time to explain things to me, and really helped me understand my foundation, terminology, and things to watch for! He helped to point out that I wasn't in any danger from the issues I saw, and gave me helpful advice on ways to make sure it stays that way! Would highly recommend JES to anyone (and would come back to them if I ever have any other issues), but especially would recommend to first time homeowners who have questions and want a straight up and honest answer on their issues!

Had the pleasure of having a foundation inspection with Clarke Miller. He was very professional and honestly gave me a solution to fix my issue without charging me thousands of dollars in materials and labor. Will be coming back to JES foundation for any of my home issues in the near future.

He suggested several areas of concern and explained his thinking for his concern. He was not pushy at all and gave us the information so we could talk about it and get back to him. I had a great experience working with Paul Kelly at JES Foundation. From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He took the time to really explain what was going on with my home in a way that actually made sense, and I never felt rushed or pressured into anything. What stood out most was his honesty and attention to detail. He walked me through all my options, answered every question I had, and made sure I felt confident in the decisions being made. You can tell he genuinely cares about doing the job right and taking care of his customers. If you want someone you can trust, I’d highly recommend working with Paul. Five-star experience all around.

I recently understood what the cracks in the walls meant. *sigh* I did some research and contacted JES Foundation. I got an immediate response and inspection date. The team sent Michael Kim to assess my issue. Now, finding out that your house is shifting is not good news. Why? Cost? Fear? Is my house going to sink? However, Mike (Michael Kim of the Manassas office in VA) (hope he doesn't mind if I call him Mike) was very good at keeping me calm. He was very knowledgeable, kind and patient. I appreciate his dedication to his clients and his attention to detail and overall professionalism. I appreciate everything that has happened up to this date. I suspect I will be happy with the overall service. Greatly appreciated.

I contracted with JES to have my Foundation repaired a Sump Pump and a full basement Dehumidifier installed. The onsite foreman Mr. Jaime Castillo was timely with keeping to the set work schedule JES provided. The work crew, Mr. Noel Larios, Mr. Erik Morales and Mr. Antonio Canales show strong work ethic in preforming their duties. Mr. Castillo explained each step of the job in layman’s terms as they worked. I myself have the habit of asking the same questions repeatedly and the foreman Mr. Castillo would take his time and re-explain the task as they worked. Mr. Canales was also knowledgeable with helping me understand the Sump Pump drainage process.The clean up was excellent paying attention to every detail.

We had the recent misfortune of having our main line break after the recent snow storm. Pat came out right on time and gave us the estimate. We don't have a choice but to get it fixed. As there is water just bubbling up through our grass and driveway and sidewalk. It's probably the most expensive plumbing repair that there is but Pat made me feel at ease and even though I just felt like crying he was able to keep my spirits up. They've done work for us before (we have quest pipe unfortunately) and at that time they were also extremely professional, courteous and had the best price. I didn't even feel the need to call another company to get another estimate. I trust them and that's who we will always use in the future. Since the actual repair hasn't been done yet I will update the review if something goes awry.

JaJuan called and asked if it was ok to arrive to the appointment 15 minutes early. When he arrived he was very professional and knowledgeable. After explaining and showing me what was going wrong with my garbage disposal he waited patiently while I contacted my husband to explain what needed to be done. Upon getting approval for the work he waisted no time installing our new garbage disposal. He answered all of my questions and cleaned up after himself. I have always been very pleased with A-1 Sewer and Drain's customer service and quality of work.
