Joe A. and his team crushed our crawlspace encapsulation. They came out the start day and walked the job site with me and put my mind at ease. Joe worked late the first day to make sure the job got done but had to return to install a pump to the dehumidifier. They did it this morning which took them no time. Very appreciate of the work done to solve water issues in my basement. Antoine Gant, Gerald Peoples, and Troy Griffin did a phenomenal job installing a drainage system and pump. Along with the installation work, they also helped clear all the sandbags away from the work area. I’m thankful for their willingness to go above and beyond the scope of the job. It was a huge help. They were tidy, patient, and open to answering any questions I had. After they were done they gave me very specific instructions on how to manage the work area. No complaints at all about the work these gentleman did in my home! Blessings.

JES crew of Andrew, Cody and Al arrived around fifteen minutes after a heads-up call from Andrew. Andrew explained the process of leveling the concrete slabs around my pool, and they got after it! These guys worked as a team and accomplished the job in a timely manner. The guys were very professional and volunteered information as they worked. I had my crawlspace encapsulated last fall, but one of the dehumidifiers indicated that the battery should be replaced. The service tech, Rick Holt, did a thorough inspection, checked both dehumidifiers and sump pumps, inspected my foundation and pointed out a couple of minor things that needed my attention. He went above and beyond my expectations. I would give him six stars if I could.

The personnel at JES Foundation Repair Ashland were consummate professionals from the beginning of the process to the end. Our 90-plus-year-old house was sinking by 2" in its middle, so it was imperative that we right the foundation. Tice, utilizing high-tech equipment, assiduously inspected our house for a full four hours, going through every possible detail in a comprehensive and fully comprehensible way–including his offering of affordable financing. In addition, he kept in contact with us every step of the way, patiently answering our multitudinous queries and most importantly aiding us in navigating the permitting process through Albemarle county. Roberto and Oscar, who did the install of a dozen beams and a sump pump, were highly knowledgeable, had numerous years of experience, and worked tirelessly in their doing of a superior job on site; they also did a nice job of cleaning up on the last day. Materials were of the highest quality–there was no cutting corners with JES. All went seamlessly from the beginning of the process to its culmination. I have no reservations whatsoever about JES Foundation and the work they did, and would unhesitatingly recommend them to anyone–the peace of mind they brought us, knowing that our house's foundation is once again stable, is priceless.

I am only giving Ground Works a 4 star review because of the Gentleman who did the job. Kidd Smith and the crew he was with did AMAZING work and were extremely helpful and respectful in every way!!! I can’t say enough about how amazing their work was. When it comes to the actual company itself they are very arrogant, never did I receive a call back when I needed to speak with them. I had contacted them 2x and NOT ONCE did they return my calls or even acknowledge that I had called. The supervisor “Dan,” was very arrogant on the phone when he accused me of trying to not pay!! Then a Kate called me not long after asking about payment and was not very nice and obviously can’t hear. I explained that when the job was finished I would then write out the check for the remaining balance and that paying over the phone through debit or credit card was not an option. This was explained from the beginning when I sat down and signed all the paperwork and contract. They are not very professional and they definitely don’t know how to communicate between themselves or with clients!!! Kidd Smith and crew Thank you for the AMAZING job done on my sidewalk!!!!

Phillip sets the standard for exemplary customer service, professionalism, and knowledge. His service work on equipment in my crawl space was five star! His understanding of the challenges a cracked beam presents allowed him to explain the repair process clear and concisely. I went with JES on encapsulating my crawl space and replacing almost half of the massive joists several years ago; I'm absolutely sticking with them on shoring up the beam. Yes, they are expensive; their quality work is worth every penny!

I am a very satisfied customer of JES. I contacted the company regarding concerns my husband I had concerning a few cracks in my wallboard, tape pulling away and spongy floors. My initial contact was with Kyle Clayton, Contractor Representative, we talked at length about what was needed to correct our concerns. He went under my home, took photos and shot level lines and I was told the house had a small amount of settlement that was causing my problems and to fix the spongy floors, I was told what was needed and explained how all would work. I agreed to the work, an appointment was set up that day as to when the work would start. I received an e-mail from the company telling me of the person that would be following my job and she would be my contact person for any questions and or complaints. I am happy to say I never had to contact her. I received a phone call reminder as to when the crew would show up to do the repairs and the crew called me that day that they were on their way and would arrive at the time agreed upon. I had 4 steel beams put in with 7 large steel jacks for support. The cracks are repaired to the point that when the wall patch work is done, it will stay repaired and I no longer have spongy floors. The floors are solid and strong feeling. So much better! I would like to thank JES and their crew that did the work under my home. They had a hard job and did it in a friendly, courteous, professional manner. Any question I had was answered on the spot and the Supervisor came to the job every day to be sure everything was being done to my satisfaction and to also answer any questions I had. I would like to thank the Field Superintendent Everado Copado and the crew, Roberto, Fausto and Carmilo for your hard work and leaving my home in better shape than before you arrived. Everything was left clean and tidy and I appreciate your help! Thank you!

I contacted JES Foundation Repair to fix my sinking driveway and I was completely impressed by the professionalism and dedication demonstrated by everyone I met. Bryan Rutherford and Morgan Oakley arrived at my home right on time. They were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They started working right away, also took the time to thoroughly explain to me the entire process and gave me an accurate estimated time of completion. When the job was about 90% finished, unfortunately a piece of equipment broke down. They finished the remaining tasks as much as they could, cleaned the worksite and promised to come back a week later to complete the job, as soon as the faulty equipment was fixed. To my surprise, Bryan called me the next morning and told me that he’d be back on that day, as he was concerned about the unsealed area of the driveway and wanted to take care of it right away. He managed to find a workaround, drove to my house (out of his way) and completed the remaining job. They did such a fantastic job my driveway almost looks like a new one again! Thank you, Bryan, Morgan, Jesse for your help. I would not hesitate to recommend JES Foundation Repair to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy concrete repair.

Diego, Henry, and Adrian installed 3 foundation piers and did an outstanding job from start to finish. We just moved into our new home and needed some foundation repairs to be done. JES foundation had done some work on the house previously but after the foundation inspection it turned out that the house needed additional work on the other side. The lead foundation inspector Rob Tennyson was very honest and clear and worked with us on a comprehensive plan for the foundation work. Once it was time to start doing the work Rob took personal time to come a day before the project to clear out the vegetation that was going to be in the way of the repairs and hauled everything on his personal truck. Top notch customer care. The next day the crew supervised by Rudy Gonzales and lead by Jose Lopez were very professional, punctual, clean and fast. Once the holes had been dug, they found out that our gas line ran too close to the house and could cause danger if they were to proceed any further. Rudy informed me and suggested that we go through our finished basement to complete the installation of the piers. The crew took care of everything and within 3 days all the work had been completed and the entire team (Victorino Joya, Ernosto Castillo, Daniel Yacilo, and Jose Rafael 6) was out of the house. Rudy went out of his way to make sure that there would be no damage to the interior or exterior of my house. Again, fantastic customer service. Highly recommended company!

I just received a visit from Inspector Andre Williams. I was happy to receive a text message to confirm the arrival time. I also received an arrival text. This heads up allowed me the opportunity to move my feisty dog to another room. Andre's visit was due to a request I put in for a warning signal that has been repeating for the last week. Andre explained the reason for the signal, and immediately resolved the problem. That definitely put me at ease. Thank you so much Andre. The signal was driving me crazy, but now I feel sanity returning. Wonderful!

JES did wonderful work for our home. The team we had for the outside work was Agustin Morales, Eduardo Morales, and Jorge Duron. They were very professional in every aspect of the job. I was impressed how they took the time to lay plastic down in our flower beds to keep from disturbing the mulch. This seems small but means so much, especially since we just put it down recently. They let us know when they were arriving via text which was great. Agustin explained everything that was being done and did a walk around with us after the work was complete. He even took the excess dirt and filled some low lying areas in our back yard. We truly appreciate the professionalism and care you took of our home.

Abdul was very responsive and professional from the start. He arrived on time, walked me through the entire process, and made sure I understood everything clearly. I never felt pressured into making a purchase — instead, I felt like he genuinely cared about my concerns and wanted to provide the best solution for my situation. He took his time answering all of my questions and explaining each recommendation thoroughly. I was initially skeptical about one of the suggested services, but after speaking with him and hearing his knowledge and expertise, I’m confident moving forward. 4 star due to scheduling issues I had and having to call to get the work completed.Joe Crossfield/David Gaskins/Larry and crew were great.Joe was the sales guy that came out to quote us for the work. He was very polite and was honest about what needed to be done. He didn’t upsell us on any add ons and helped us save a little bit of money by offering alternatives for the encapsulation project.Larry and crew: they came and did the work and did a great job. Cleaned up after themselves and completed the work. Not sure if it was the day or the overwhelming work the crew had, but I felt like I was rushed when I asked questions and felt like an inconvenience when I did asked questions. So I didn’t appreciate that.David Gaskins: was polite and explained how to clean the dehumidifier and all that. Explained what the RH% should be in the crawlspace and showed me how to work the dehumidifier. I originally called because I wanted my encapsulated crawlspace to be at 40% RH but it wasn’t getting there. He explained to me that it is possible for the machine to get down that low but explained the issue that I may have with my foundation and wood beam. He was very honest and did not rush me when I was asking the questions.Cons:-After paying the deposit, I had to give the office a call to schedule my appointment. I would think that they would call me to schedule and get it on the books, but that did not happen.-the scheduler scheduled the encapsulation, but not the electricians subcontractor. You would think that they should schedule the electrician first before the work so that the work is totally complete once the crew comes. I ended up calling the office, getting the phone number to the electricians, and calling the electricians myself to get something scheduled since the office could only email the subcontractor to be put on the books.
