Shortly after Christmas, I walked down to my basement and realized my baseboard was discolored and there was obviously some sort of moisture issue in that area. Turns out, my foundation was cracked. It was very visible from the outside. Oh no. Who do I call for that? I googled and found JES. This company is great. I called. They got me on the schedule right away. Shannon came out for my inspection and consultation was very thorough. Then, following that, the work was scheduled very timely, as well. The day of the work, I met the foreman, Brian, and his crew. Brian walked me through what they would do and, immediately, I knew this was the guy/crew that was going to fix my problem. I just had that feeling. Anyway, if you live in their service area and need foundation repair, then call JES. Their work is quality.

JES was amazing, from start to finish. My estimator was thorough and professional, helping me understand what issues he had identified and how JES would work to remediate it, and helping me work through financing as well. Communication from the scheduling group and the work crews was clear and anticipated my needs; and the teams were on-time, communicating expected and actual arrival. The work crews were a delight to have here. In particular, Tyrone, John, Amir, Kevin, Jackie, and Shai were easy, fun, and kind with one another — all while working extremely hard to tunnel through the worse ice storm this area has seen in 15 years, in order to finish my job on time and precisely as described. They also dug me and my daughter out, when we were stuck in the snow bank on our way to school for the day. That is above and beyond! This is my second time working with JES, and I would hire them again. Highly recommended.

JES did a fantastic job with the crawlspace. Removed old materials, installed a crawl drain and sump pump system, and then encapsulated the area with a dehumidifier. Bijon Simpson especially was a very hard working foreman. He stayed until the job was complete, working by himself for several hours late into the night to ensure all tasks were completed and to my satisfaction. Anything small I noticed that needed to be revised per the contract, he did it flawlessly. Definitely would recommend Bijon Simpson and JES on any crawlspace work.

Which around where we live, it’s hard to even get a contractor out to our house. Besides being on time, Blake was efficient and professional the entire time. Making everything easy for us to understand and giving us options on what to do and why. For 2 old people we definitely appreciate Blake’s patience and true passion for working. Within three days of calling, JES had Chad onsite to do a thorough inspection. Based on our introductory conversation, I could tell Chad was very knowledgeable and experienced. He spent nearly two hours inspecting my home to identify the cause of the issue I was experiencing. Upon completion, Chad informed me that he and JES could not help. They couldn't help because the problem was not with my basement or foundation walls. Rather he pointed out two downspouts and a grading issue under the down spouts that were caus of my issues. It is not very often I have run across a true professional like Chad who did not put profit over honesty. Because he was honest, I have likely kept thousands of dollars in my pockets and JES Foundation Repair has earned my respect, my honest review, and all future references I make for them to friends and family in the area with foundation issues. Andre Williams from JES did a long-overdue and much needed inspection of my crawlspace upgrade done by JES. My crawlspace entrance is not very big and can be challenging. I do not feel comfortable attempting to crawl down there! He made sure that the sump pumps and air-handler were all plugged-in and operating—replacing the back-up battery, which was dead. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and efficient—I am so grateful to know that everything is working smoothly.

The service tech, Rick Holt, did a thorough inspection, checked both dehumidifiers and sump pumps, inspected my foundation and pointed out a couple of minor things that needed my attention. He went above and beyond my expectations. I would give him six stars if I could.

Devin C., Delonta K., and Jacob H. went above and beyond, exceeding my already-high expectations. They were upfront about exactly what was going to be done each day they were onsite, informed me where they were going when they left, and were really helpful in answering all of my questions along the way. This crew really did a great job and I can't recommend them enough. It was super hot out and they pushed through and completed the work ahead of schedule while still keeping high standards and quality of work.Ask for this crew by name. They were that good.

He is a very pleasant person to deal with. He worked a somewhat complicated plumbing job caused by workers encapsulating our crawl space. It took nearly two days to fix the issue. I greatly appreciated his updates.

We just had our dehumidifier replaced. JES technicians David Hill and Landon Pollard did a great job! The new dehumidifier was a bit bigger than the old one and they had to do some extra work getting it in but they were fantastic. When we bought our old house, the original weep tile had collapsed over time and ground water was seeping into our basement. We also had a crawl space from a 1920’s addition that was dry but needed sealing. Groundworks (which was Foundation Systems of Michigan at the time), did a great job. The perimeter of the entire basement was opened up for new drain tubing and the walls were covered with their vapor membrane. Amazing what a dry basement can do for a house. Since then, we’ve added on and required their services twice more. Always professional, conscientious about cleaning up afterwards (especially on the first job which was a big job), and willing to work with us on small updates. Dale and John are two excellent representatives for Groundworks and I highly recommend them.

We had our basement walls repaired and a water management system installed in our home over 16 years ago and it is still as good as the day JES installed it. Jay Hyman was our sales rep back then and still works at JES, now as a professional inspector. For the first time in 16 years, I recently reached out to JES to get copies of our old paperwork and Jay and the receptionist at the Manassas office were very friendly and super helpful. They went out of their way to get me what I needed. JES is a rare find, a company that’s stands behind their work – 16 years and counting.

JES installed my sump pump in October 2023. Today (9/25/24) was my annual maintenance appointment to be sure that everything was working well with it. My technician, Ben, contacted me on 9/24/24 to check in with me on any possible issues that he needed to be made aware of prior to my appointment as well as to confirm my appointment. Very professional and polite. Fast forward to the appointment, Ben arrived on time, once again was very professional. I showed him where it was installed so he could get to work. Unbeknownst to both Ben and I, well there was no power going to the sump pump. That was as easy as flipping a switch on the breaker box. Then, Ben noticed a leak in the piping that was installed when the sump pump was installed. Ben ended up having to cut my drywall in which JES will incur the cost to repair it back. But this was nothing he couldn’t handle although he did have to make an unexpected run to Home Depot/Lowes to get the tool needed to cut the pipe. Ben returned in a decent amount of time and got right to work. Ben repaired the pipe, cleaned the sump pump bucket, and ensured everything was working correctly. Towards the end of the appointment, Ben made a few recommendations and ending up finding out that the piping that is coming out of the from of my house that pushes the water out was installed incorrectly and was not was I paid for. Therefore, Ben made a call to his supervisor, Megan Hartman, to put her on notice about this issue as well. Ben assured me that someone from the service department would reach out to me to schedule repairs for the piping outside as well as the wall repair. Overall, I would give Ben a 10/10 and would highly recommend him as your service tech. He made sure to answer any questions I had to the best of his ability, remain professional, kept me informed throughout the whole appt, valued me as a paying customer, and advised me that if I had any further questions after this appt that I shouldn’t hesitate to reach out to him. Ben was AWESOME‼️ Note: Pics are from the installation back in October 2023.
