Bizwiz 2015 Award Winner

Virginia Beach-based software company celebrates local SBOY award during National Small Business Week. Bizwiz by KBH Business Management Systems has received the 2015 Virginia Beach Small Business of the Year Award from the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. The company is part of an exciting wave of technological innovation taking place across the region.

Virginia Beach, VA (May 6, 2015) – Bizwiz©® by KBH Business Management Systems (KBH) has received the 2015 Virginia Beach Small Business of the Year Award from the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce. Now in its 31st year, the annual awards recognize top-performing small businesses and their contributions to fostering economic development in the Hampton Roads area.

A judging committee, assembled by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center of Hampton Roads, selected the winning businesses from five Hampton Roads’ cities based on the following criteria: financial performance and business history, training and motivation, community involvement, business plan, growth, and customer service and satisfaction.

Bizwiz, developed by KBH in 2007, is a Software-as-a-Service business management and workflow system that gives companies a complete view of metrics necessary to promote short- and long-term growth. Waltz, who also owns JES Foundation Repair with his wife Stella, came up with the idea for the comprehensive business software during his travels across the country as a director of engineering for a foundation repair product manufacturer. He wanted to be able to access real-time information about JES while he was away so he could make logical decisions about running his business. Waltz quickly realized how beneficial the software could be for other contractors as well. Bizwiz has been an instrumental force in eliminating operational inefficiencies and boosting year-to-year revenue growth for JES and over 100 companies throughout the U.S. and Canada. KBH is constantly refining the Bizwiz product and broadening its capabilities and features to serve all types of residential contractors.

The 2015 Hampton Roads Small Business of the Year Awards Ceremony will be held Friday, June 12 at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott.
