JES Partners with Men of Faith to Support Friendship Village Families
Event Recap: Supporting Friendship Village Families
On June 21, 2025, the JES Foundation Repair Virginia Beach team partnered with Men of Faith, a nonprofit organization, to make a positive impact in Friendship Village, a Section 8 housing community.
Led by Chris S., Colin D., and Taylor J., the team raised funds internally to directly benefit local families in need, eliminating the need for outside fundraising or ticket sales. Every dollar went toward purchasing and providing food for the community, ensuring that the help was immediate and tangible.
Community Impact Highlights
Over 50 families received nutritious meals thanks to the collaboration and dedication of those involved. The initiative alleviated financial strain for parents, enabling them to provide for their children. The event also encouraged connections among neighbors, offered encouragement, and strengthened the sense of community. It reminded many residents that they are seen, valued, and supported by local businesses, nonprofits, and caring individuals.
