March of Dimes help moms have full-term pregnancies and research the problems that threaten the health of babies. If something goes wrong, they offer information and comfort to families. March of Dimes research the problems that threaten our babies and work on preventing them. In local communities across the country, they’re helping moms take charge of their health, and supporting families when something goes wrong. The March of Dimes also acts globally: sharing best practices in perinatal health and helping improve birth outcomes where the needs are the most urgent.
March of Dimes works with everyone from schoolchildren to scientists and celebrities to citizens to make a difference for babies. Whether volunteering, joining an event or making a donation, you can help them prevent premature birth and birth defects, and improve the health of moms and babies.
On Saturday, March 15th 2014, a group of JES employees led by Co-Owner Stella Waltz participated in the March for Babies fundraising walk in Virginia Beach, walking a combined total of 62 miles along the boardwalk. Those who participated enjoyed a sunny day along the wind swept coast. The event raised a total of $23,000 with JES raising $1,250 from their sponsors to donate to the cause of assisting new born health.
“Assisting the March of Dimes foundation help newborns life a happier and healthier life is always fulfilling,” participant Janice Feldman said, “Everyone should want to help the next generation get a start in life.”
